The Bizerba XRE-D X-Ray is a modern end-of-line inspection system designed to ensure the highest safety standards in product packaging. Using advanced X-ray technology, the XRE-D system is capable of detecting a wide range of contaminants, including metallic and non-metallic foreign objects, within packaged products. It is particularly adept at identifying materials such as metal, glass, ceramics, stones, raw bones, and various plastics such as PVC, Teflon, rubber, and fiberglass – even in aluminum-packaged products.
One of the system’s key features is its ability to detect density differences, which allows it to identify missing, defective or misshapen products, as well as check for overweight or underweight items. This ensures not only safety, but also product integrity and consistency.
The XRE-D features an efficient quick-change conveyor belt system that allows belt changes in less than two minutes, minimizing downtime and maintaining productivity. The system can inspect up to 400 products per minute, providing real-time results and high throughput. It also supports the inspection of multiple lines and products with variable density ranges, increasing its versatility.
